Suspended / Revoked Michigan Driver's License Question for Driver's License Attorney?

Home » General » Suspended / Revoked Michigan Driver's License Question for Driver's License Attorney?

I have a suspended / revoked Michigan driver’s license because of 3 drunk driving convictions. The Michigan secretary of state took my license away for 5 years before I am eligible for a license again, and yesterday on the way to my parents house for 4th of July I was pulled over for speeding, and arrested for Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (the ticket says DWLS/DWLR). How does this affect my license and my current OWI license suspension? I wasn’t drinking or anything, and I know I am not supposed to be driving but if I don’t drive I don’t work, and if I don’t work I don’t pay the bills and then I will be living with my parents, period. I heard you guys are the best driver’s license attorneys in the state from many people, so please tell me you can help me.

Thank you for visiting the http://www.AllLegalMatters.com blog.

If the Driving While License Suspensed/Revoked/DWLS/DWLR charge you received is abstacted to your driving record through a conviction or a guilty plea, you will receive an additional like suspension thorough the Michigan Secretary of State for another 5 years, plus a $1,000.00 ($500.00 per year for 2 years) in Michigan driver’s responsibility fees!!! For a list of driver’s respponsibility fees visit the Michigan Secretary of State’s website at this link:

    http://www.michigan.gov/driverresponsibility/0,1607,7-213-32166-99031–,00.html

Even a simple speeding ticket would have this effect, but the charge you are facing is a misdemeanor charge that carries a potential punishment by the court of 93 days in jail, plus fines, costs, probation, vehicle immobilization, and other rather unpleasant sanctions.

There is some good news. The attorneys at Canu Torrice Law have been able to successfully negotiate non-abstractable offenses on behalf of our clients with driving while license suspended/driving while license revoked/DWLS/DWLR, who are eligible for license re-instatement in the futue, in order to avoid this additional Secretary of State suspension/revocation and save our client’s Michigan driver’s license. It’s not easy, but we have done it hundreds of times over. That’s why we are the best, quite frankly.

Most attorneys feel like they accomplished something by obtaining a plea to “No Operator’s License on Person” or a “No Ops” as it is sometimes called, which may be okay in some cases. However, in your case, even though that plea is technically a zero (0) point offense with no Secretary of State Driver’s Resonsibility Fees, it will go on your driving record, and therefore will result in an additional revocation period being added to your driving priviledges equal to that that you are currently facing, hence an “additional like suspension.” That sucks.

The Michigan driver’s license and criminal defense attorneys at Canu Torrice Law know the subtle nuances in Michigan law and the Motor Vehicle Code that most attorneys overlook which can save your Michigan driver’s license from a further driver’s license suspension/revocation. Moreover, the Michigan driver’s license restoration attorneys at Canu Torrice Law can then go back to the Secretary of State with your for your DAAD/DLAD driver’s license appeal and get you back on the road. However, time is of the essence, as we attorneys sometimes say, and you should not delay in contacting one of the Michigan driver’s license lawyers at Canu Torrice Law by calling (586) 285-1700 right away! If you delay, you may find yourself without the eligibilty to obtain a Michigan driver’s license for another 5 years, and may find yourself in jail depending on the court you are in!
