So I received a no turn on red ticket at the corner of hall and Hayes. The officer just told me that Sterling heights is a no point policy if you just make a court date. I made a court date but what exactly do I tell the judge to receive no points. Any advice would be great! Thanks

I am unaware of a “no point” policy in Sterling Heights. You should always make a court date if you receive a traffic ticket in any jurisdiction. Many times they will in fact offer you no points. However, keep in mind, sometimes “no points” still means it abstracts to your driving record. An example of this is limited access speeding 5 over. This is a “no point” ticket but still goes on your driving record and your insurance finds out as well as any future police officer that stops you.
The best thing to do is hire a lawyer to handle it for you. If your record is good many times we can obtain a plea to the ticket that is no points and does not abstract to your driving record. As a bonus when you hire an attorney you do not need to go to court on a traffic ticket and sit there and wait to be called. You simply pay us and we go to court for you and you go to work and continue with your day. After court we call you and tell you the result and tell you how long you have to pay the fine.
