Peter A. Torrice

Law Partner

Peter A. Torrice graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Finance in 2001 from the highly accredited Eli Broad College of Business Administration. Immediately after graduating from Michigan State University, Peter A. Torrice attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2004. Peter A. Torrice attended Grosse Pointe elementary and secondary schools, where he graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School in 1997.

During his attendance at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law Peter A. Torrice was awarded the Service Award by the Dean for his service to the Law School Community in 2003. Prior to attending the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Peter A. Torrice served as a law clerk for Attorney Stephen Rabaut. While attending law school Peter A. Torrice was employed as a law clerk for Peter Lucido, P.C. Additionally, during his attendance at law school he worked for the County of Macomb as a law clerk for Circuit Court Judge Matthew Switalski. As a law clerk for Judge Matthew Switalski, Peter A. Torrice received a Certificate of Appreciation Award for both years of 2003 and 2004.

In 2004, Peter A. Torrice began his own law practice.  Peter A. Torrice’s areas of legal practice include both State and Federal Criminal Law. Peter A. Torrice is admitted to practice in both Michigan State and Federal Court.  Peter A. Torrice is a criminal defense trial lawyer.

Andrew Canu

Law Partner

Andrew M. Canu graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 where he obtained his Bachelors of Arts, Political Science Pre-Law degree. He obtained his Juris Doctorate / Law Degree from the Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University in 1996. He achieved Honors while attending Law School. The law school is now located on the Michigan State University Campus in East Lansing, Michigan.

While obtaining his Law degree he served as a Judicial Intern for three (3) distinct Judges of the Wayne County Circuit Court. The Honorable Judges Michael L. Stacey, Richard P. Hathaway and John H. Gillis, Jr. served as mentors to him. He also worked as a Law Clerk for Robert L. Ferriby, Jr., a nationally recognized trial attorney and assisted in preparation of hundreds of Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice trials.

Andrew M. Canu worked for Peter J. Lucido, PC as the Chief Criminal and Divorce litigation attorney for seven years prior to forming his own law firm in 2007. He has personally handled thousands of criminal, family and driver’s license restoration matters.

Since graduating from Detroit College of Law at Michigan State University, Andrew M. Canu has specialized in Litigation and has won numerous Trials and Acquittals for his clients for nearly twenty (20) years. He is admitted to practice law in all Michigan State and Federal Courts. He has been an attorney in good standing since his Admission to the State of Michigan Bar in 1996.

Andrew M. Canu is a legal and trial specialist in many areas of the Law. He presently concentrates in Criminal Defense Litigation and Family Law Litigation, which includes Divorce and Custody Trials. He is regarded among his peers as an expert in Driver’s License Restoration matters. Furthermore, he possesses an extensive background in Contract and Construction Law, Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice lawsuits.

Personal background:
Andrew M. Canu is the youngest born of eight (8) children. He is married with (3) children. He is an avid golfer and sportsman. He is active in the community and coaches youth sports. He grew up in Ferndale and graduated Cum Laude from Hazel Park High School in 1987. He is a national Honor Society member and received Varsity letters in Football, Basketball and Baseball.
