My Michigan license is suspended because I owe thousands of dollars in driver’s responsibility fees for traffic tickets, speeding tickets, no proof of insurance tickets and a driving while license suspended charges here in Michigan that I got because my Michigan driver’s license was suspened for all my unpaid fees, which is another $1000.00 more now because I got another DWLS charge!!!!
Is there any way I can get out of paying this? I am thinking about filing bankruptcy anyway with Michigan’s job market sucking so bad that I can’t even get a job at a Wall Mart and if I do this and file Chapter 7 bankrupcy here in Michigan will it wipe out the driving responisbility fees I owe to the state of Michigan secretary of state?? This may be a way to kill 2 birds with 1 stone if you know what I mean so I can drive again and get rid of all this debt.

As a government debt, much like taxes, I do not think Michigan driver’s responsibility fees are dischagable in bankruptcy, but I will defer to Peter Torrice as the Michigan bankruptcy expert attorney from Canu Torrice Law to confirm this.
